Tsindos The Greeks Restaurant was founded in 1970 by Harry Tsindos and was situated on Russell St, in the city of Melbourne. It was a traditional and family run business where Harry's wife and children worked. Harry's son, Fred Tsindos, started off waitering there, and eventually took over the business.
Working with, then for him, was Elephtheria Katsanidou, whom he made his wife.
Together, Fred and Elephtheria, in 1984, re-situated the restaurant around the corner on Lonsdale St, where it stands today. Now managing and in the process of running the business is Fred's son Harry Tsindos Jnr.
